Inevitably, this question comes up: "At the end of ROCH, who was the better fighter: Gwok Jing or Yeung Gor?"

You don't quite hear the answer, but it's apparent everybody else did, because after Jin Yong gives his reply, half the audience leaves their seats, rushes the stage, tackles poor Jin Yong to the ground, and dogpiles him, screaming incoherently.

You're still in your seat: stupefied by the bizarre, surreal scene. What do you do next?

Q. We all know there are two ways to pronounce the name Zen Master Chengguan/Dengguan. Which pronunciation is your intended one?

If Jin Yong says Dengguan, I would be pissed

Chengguan sounds much more soothing.

That's not even the question I'd want to ask at a JY Q&A. I'd want to know why he didn't tell us anything about what became of YG and XLN after the end of ROCH, and why he didn't ever write a book about DGQB!

And maybe why his books aren't all being published in English, though he may not have any control over that.

Me neither, but I do wonder how crazy some fans could possibly get. I also wonder if Jin Yong is at all aware of how deeply invested some of his fans are in the possible answers to these questions.

That's not even the question I'd want to ask at a JY Q&A. I'd want to know why he didn't tell us anything about what became of YG and XLN after the end of ROCH.

We kind of already know from HSDS.

Unbeatable people make for very dull protagonists.

And maybe why his books aren't all being published in English, though he may not have any control over that.

Too limited a market. I doubt the publisher would be able to sell enough copies to earn back costs.

the crowd will instantly leave jin yong and jump me instead, and jin yong would probably be grateful for my "Yi Qi"
